COVID-19 Update,
March 22, 2021
Today the entire state moved to Phase 3 of the Healthy Washington: Roadmap to Recovery plan.
In order to stay in Phase 3, counties will need to meet certain metrics related to the number of new cases over 14 days and the number of hospitalizations over 7 days. Details about these metrics will be provided by the state over the coming days.
It will take all of us working together to ensure that Pacific County can stay in Phase 3. We must continue to limit non-essential travel, maintain social distancing of at least six feet between persons, and practice personal protective measures to include: correctly wearing a mask/face covering in public, washing hands often with soapy water for at least 20 seconds, and avoid touching your face.
-- Case counts
- New cases between March 8 - March 21: 21
- Active cases: 5
- Total cases since start of pandemic: 822
-- Hospitalizations
- New hospitalizations between March 15 - March 21: 0
- Total hospitalizations since start of pandemic: 27
-- Deaths
- Total deaths since start of pandemic: 10
The current case rate per 100k over 14 days is 92.4.
Between February 22 and March 11, our county’s case rate increased dramatically - from 60.1 to 295.7. **This increase was due to social gatherings.**
Since March 11, our case rate has been decreasing. **Keep up the good work, Pacific County!**
For up to date information and guidance, please monitor the Pacific County Health and Human Services Facebook page or visit: www.pacificcountycovid19.com. The next case rate update will be released on Wednesday, March 24, 2021
