For Parents / Caregivers
Guiding Good Choices - Virtual parenting class offered by our Raymond School Counselor.
Wednesdays, May 6th - May 27th, 5:30pm - 7pm
Guiding Good Choices sessions are interactive and skill based, with opportunities for parents to practice new skills, receive feedback, and use video-based vignettes to demonstrate parenting skills. Facilitators will assist participants in sharing experiences and build skills related to challenges of parenting during COVID-19.
Families receive a Family Guide that contains family activities, discussion topics, skill-building exercises, and information on positive parenting. Families will also receive social emotional materials such as art supplies, books, games and other activities to assist parents in applying skills during the Washington State shelter in place order.
Guided by workbook- and video-based discussion modules, participants learn how to reduce risk, develop healthy beliefs and clear standards, gain refusal skills, manage family conflict, and strengthen family bonds.
